Weaver Valley Waterspace Strategy
Aim: The Waterspace Strategy focuses upon encouraging investment and growth in the region’s waterways and identifies areas of potential growth.
Scope: The study focuses primarily on the waterways of the Weaver Valley, including the River Weaver and the River Dane and the Shropshire Union, the Middlewich Branch of the Shropshire Union, the Trent & Mersey and the Weaver Navigation.
Content: The strategy outlines the key challenges that need to be addressed in order to increase utilisation of the waterways. It offers a number of opportunities in response to these challenges and sets out an action plan to support the initiatives of the Weaver Valley regional Park.
