Chris Mahon BSc (Hons) MSc MIoD
Chris has degrees in Environmental Science and Environmental Assessment and is a member of the Institute of Directors. For 13 years he led the Cheshire Wildlife Trust as its Director and latterly, its Chief Executive.
Prior to this, his career lay in local government as a planning department ecologist. Chris is active in local environmental leadership; he chairs the Sustainable Cheshire Forum, the Cheshire and Warrington Climate Change Group and is Vice-Chair of the Communities of Cheshire Partnership. He is also a Trustee of North of England Zoological Society (Chester Zoo).
Chris has travelled extensively and attended the Johannesburg World Summit on Sustainable Development as well as other international conferences. He was recently elected as Chair of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature Committee (IUCN-UK).
